Caring for your Jewellery
Congratulations on your purchase from Curious Blu, handcrafted with love.
When wearing your jewellery this will often come into contact with the everyday things which are on our bodies – eg, sweat, lotions, food, oils, sunscreens etc.
There are many ways to bring you pieces back to its original best (just like us after a shower)
- Invest in a silver cloth, these work brilliantly
- Gently rub toothpaste (with your finger, not tooth brush) over the jewellery, then rinse and wipe with a jewellery polishing cloth
We recommend you do not wear your jewellery in water or when cleaning, chemicals are not kind to your jewellery,
Please keep your jewellery tucked away in its bed (its precious like you), closed boxes and pouches are good, there are chemicals in the air which can sometimes tarnish your jewellery.
Please do not store your jewellery in the bathroom.
Please do not keep your Curious Blu pieces in your wallet or bag, Silver is a soft metal and can dent/scratch easily.
Leather is a natural product which wears over time, it only adds to the character of your Curious Blu piece.
Our Gold plated pieces are plated on 925 Silver. We recommend you always take your Jewellery off and do not wear in water. Gold plating will dull over time , always put it away when not wearing and avoid perfumes and lotions.
Gold plated pieces are suited to occasional wear only. Gold plating will wear to expose the silver underneath if worn regularly. Gold plating will wear on all pieces over time, exposure to water, chemicals and polishing will also cause gold plating to wear more quickly. Gold plating is not permanent, we recommend for occasional wear only
Please avoid dropping your jewels or allowing them to come into contact with hard surfaces. Your pieces can scratch, chip and crack if they are dropped or come into contact with rough surfaces.
Curious Blu pieces are handmade with many different materials, therefore colours, oxidisation levels, stone inclusions/markings, sizes of stones/gems embellishments and some materials will differ from piece to piece. Curious Blu pieces may also show some small instrument markings from our silversmiths , this only adds to the uniqueness of each piece. If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us within 7 days of the purchase to discuss.
Our pieces and stones can vary ever so slightly from what is displayed on our website and socials , we do however always try our best to match as close as we can .
Customers are responsible for covering any associated postage or redelivery fees. The item must be returned via registered mail, in protective packaging or small box and tracking number provided.
Curious Blu is not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen parcels.
Repairs and Warranty
A 3 month warranty from date of purchase applies for our range.
Within the warranty period Curious Blu will cover the cost of repair due to faulty workmanship only, we do not warrant against damage caused through wear and tear, tarnishing or plating wear. If the piece shows signs of damage from something other than normal wear or shows signs of improper use/care, a repair fee will apply and the warranty will be void.
Please note that if you engage another jeweller to work on your Curious Blu piece of jewellery within the warranty period (including repairs or resizing) or you attempt repair of a piece yourself this will void the warranty. Curious Blu will not take responsibility for any damage due to other repairs/work performed on any of our range.
Curious Blu does not cover you for items that are stolen or misplaced/lost.
Curious Blu warranty does not cover silver, brass or other metals in our pieces that may tarnish or scratch, nor does our warranty cover Gold Plated pieces that may experience plating wear or fading. Please refer to our care and FAQ's page for details on how to care for your Curious Blu piece and extend the life of your gold plated pieces.
Our warranty does not cover damage to pieces or stones (scratches/chips/cracks) if a piece has been dropped/banged/dented etc. Please refer to our FAQ's and follow our care instructions to ensure your Curious Blu pieces are properly cared for.
Customers are responsible for covering any postage or redelivery fees. The item must be returned in a well padded bag or a small box during transport. The item must be sent via Registered Post and a tracking number must be provided.
* RETURNS
Curious Blu has a 7 day return policy where you may exchange your item for another item, this * however does not apply to earrings due to hygiene reasons.

International & Custom Charges
Please note Curious Blu is not responsible for any custom or importation charges that can be incurred with international orders. It is the customers responsibility to cover all customer related charges.
Your Order
You will receive a confirmation email for your purchase and another once your order has been shipped.
Once you have advised us of your address for your order, we are unable to make any changes to your purchase, delivery address and location.
Due to any customer error, Curious Blu is not liable for any orders which have been sent to incorrect addresses or any delays experienced with courier/postal delivery times.

Measure Your Ring Size with These Steps:
- Wrap string or paper around the base of your finger.
- Mark the point where the ends meet with a pen.
- Measure the string or paper with a ruler (mm).
We suggest measuring your finger a few times a day as weather, exercise etc can alter the size of your finger slightly
Sizing for Bangles and Bracelets
Bangles/Bracelets Measurements - A normal bracelet bangle size is 64mm, you can measure by placing string around the widest part at which point the bangle needs to get past then measure on a ruler.
With our cuff bracelets – these open and can be easily slipped onto your wrist.
Our leather cuff bracelet is a combination of mixed metals – These cannot be adjusted by bending, the leather however will loosen over time for a more relaxed fit.

Curious Blu products are all handmade – therefore some materials will vary from piece to piece. Colours and sizes of stones may vary ever so slightly.
What is Heat Treating
Heat treating of stones has been used for 100 of years to increase the beautiful colour and intensity of the colour in the stone.
Many years ago, stones were actually put in the fire for this very reason.
Did you know that the purple amethyst when heat treated turns into a green amethyst? Amazing right.
Whether your stone is heat treated or not , the strength of the stone lies in the individual who wears it …..
